How much do hearing aids cost?
A single hearing aid can range from under 1000 to as much as 3000. However, there are a number of possible sources from which you can receive funding such as private insurance or from the government. Through the Government of Ontario - Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, you can receive partial funding for any hearing instruments you might require. In order to qualify for this funding, you must have a long-term hearing loss that requires the use of a hearing aid for six months or more. You must also have Ontario Health Insurance (OHIP) and a valid Health Card in your name. For more information, please visit the Government of Ontario - Ministry of Health and Long-term Care website.
